New Zealand beats Australia by 89 runs in the first game of Super 12 

Australia and New Zealand are currently locking horns in the first game of the Super 12 stage. Asked to bat first, the Black Caps were off the flyer as Fin Allen and Devon Conway came out all guns blazing and made a mockery of the Australian bowling attack.

They stitched 61 runs for the opening partnership and took their team off the flyer. After the wicket of Allen for 42 runs, New Zealand stumbled a bit and lost a few quick wickets but Conway carried his bat throughout the innings and scored masterful unbeaten 92 runs.

He was complimented well by Kane Williamson (22) and James Neesham, who scored unbeaten 26 runs as they posted a total of 200 runs on the board. Defending the target, they then bowled sensationally well and made Australian batters look clueless.

Every bowler chipped in and took wickets at the crucial stages of the game and bundled out the opposition for just 111 runs. Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with the figures of 3/6 to help his side claim the first win in Australia.
