The calendar year has almost come to an end and the richest cricket body, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has been a bit busy planning to host the international fixtures for India next year.
The upcoming year is going to be really challenging for India as they will be playing plenty of games in the lead-up to the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup which is slated to be held in India in 2023.
With the marquee event scheduled to be held in India, chances are high that the Men in Blue would enter the tournament as the clear-cut favourites. The last time when India were the hosts for the ODI World Cup was back in 2011 and MS Dhoni and Co won the World Cup by beating Sri Lanka in the final.
BCCI announces action-packed schedule including 19 games
It will be quite interesting to see how the Indian players pick up the lessons and sort out their woes before heading into the main event. Meanwhile, the BCCI has announced an action-packed schedule for India.
Team India will play as many as 19 games (T20Is, ODIs and Tests) from January to March. Unfortunately, the BCCI didn’t include Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru as the cricket venue for India in the three-month window.
It is no secret that “Bengaluru” which is located in Karnataka has the most passionate supporters. Sadly, the BCCI didn’t even consider Chinnaswamy as one of the venues to host any of the games.
India will host Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia (January to March). Sri Lanka’s tour of India included three T20Is and as many ODIs whereas New Zealand’s tour of India will also include 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs.
On the other hand, Australia’s tour of India includes four-match Test series followed by a three-match ODI series.

Schedule should be declared atleast 6 months before, just like Eng and Aus. If you want foreign audience, they need time to prepare itinerary, get visa approved and other stuff. @BCCI don't want any spectator to cheer for opposite team. That makes the game boring.

Why this much T20 matches when ODI World cup is our priority. Should have played 5 ODI in each series and may be one T20 match like past.

If Virat Kohli play atleast 15 out of 19 matches then he'll score 3-4 centuries easily
