The Australian national cricket team performed much better in the second Test as compared to their previous performance in the first Test match at VCA Stadium in Nagpur.
During the first Test match, they were bowled out for 177 and 91 in the first and second innings. India had to bat only once as they scored 400 runs in the first innings. They went on to win the Test by an innings and 132 runs.
Talking about the second Test, Australian skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first. Australia got off to a pretty decent start in the form of David Warner and Usman Khawaja as the duo added 50 runs for the opening wicket.
Mohammed Shami got rid of Warner for 15 runs and then Australia started to lose their balance quite a bit. After that, India’s veteran off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin provided a much-needed breakthrough as he took two wickets in the same over.
Rajasthan Royals takes a brutal dig at Australia after Ravi Ashwin dismisses Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne
Rajasthan Royals made the headlines after the official Twitter handle took a brutal dig at the Australian cricket team after Ravichandran Ashwin got rid of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne in the same over.
During the 23rd over of Australia’s innings, Ravichandran Ashwin trapped Marnus Labuschagne for a leg-before wicket in the fourth ball of the over before going on to dismiss Steve Smith for a duck in the last ball of the same over.
Soon after that, Rajasthan Royals took to their Twitter handle and took a swipe at Australia by saying, “You can clone my action, not my brain” RR’s caption was referring to Australia recruiting duplicate Ravichandran Ashwin to train at the nets ahead of the start of the Border Gavaskar Trophy series.

Despite all that, the Australians couldn’t come up with a solution to tackle Ravi Ashwin so far. Ravi Ashwin took eight wickets in the first Test and three wickets in the first innings of the second Test.
