Parthiv Patel feels that Hardik Pandya may not bowl at India’s forthcoming Asia Cup 2022 match against Hong Kong in Dubai on Wednesday, August 31.

It was stated by him during a conversation on Cricbuzz that Pandya may be given some time off for the match since it is not anticipated that he would bowl. The legendary all-rounder may be rested before the Super Four stage. This would be advantageous for India.

According to Parthiv’s assessment, Pandya should be replaced by Deepak Hooda for the match against Hong Kong, and the Men in Blue should seriously consider doing so.

What did Parthiv Patel say about Hardik Pandya?

He went on to explain: “I don’t see Hardik Pandya bowling against Hong Kong. Therefore, there is no need to force him to participate in the game if he is not going to bowl. We have seen what he is capable of doing with the bat, and he has a lot of self-assurance. He is doing a good job in the field and bowling. Therefore, Deepak Hooda may take his place if he continues to sit out.”

In India’s first match of the tournament against Pakistan on Sunday, Hardik Pandya was the player who stood out as having the best performance. He finished the match with three wickets and also made a substantial contribution with the bat, contributing greatly to the team’s victory by being undefeated on 33 runs scored off 17 balls. This helped the team win by five wickets.
