Pakistan has been knocked out of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. It is disappointing for them because they were the host nation. The team has to bounce back. Therefore, a few changes could happen in the ODI squad. Here, we take a look at the list of three Pakistan players who could be dropped from the ODI squad.
1) Faheem Ashraf
Many were surprised to see his name in the squad for the Champions Trophy. It was mostly to give Pakistan an all-round option. However, it would be a better approach for Pakistan to start afresh for this role. Hence, Faheem is on this list.
2) Imam-ul-Haq could be dropped from the Pakistan ODI squad
Imam-ul-Haq is one of the Pakistan players who could be dropped from the ODI squad. In the first place, he was not in the ODI squad. After Fakhar Zaman got injured, Imam had to come in. However, he did not do well against India and played a slow knock. That has been his issue for a while now. When Fakhar and Saim Ayub return, he will not be in contention.
3) Tayyab Tahir
It would be harsh but Pakistan will have to take tough calls. He had an opportunity to change the game against both India and New Zealand. However, he was out for single-digit scores.
