World number one batter in Test cricket, Marnus Labuschagne, is spending his time off the field watching the world’s grandest T20 league, the Indian Premier League(IPL). The Australian cricket team star registered himself for the IPL Mega Auction 2022. However, he went unsold as none of the teams showed interest in his services.
Currently, Labuschagne is in Pakistan with the rest of the Australian squad. He was a part of the Australian cricket team that won the ICC World Test Championship series against the Pakistan cricket team earlier this month. The two teams will now battle in a 3-match ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series, followed by a one-off T20I match.
There was a small break between the ICC World Test Championship series and the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series between the Australian cricket team and the Pakistan cricket team. Marnus used the free time to watch the IPL matches.

Soon after, Labuschagne’s Australian teammate David Warner replied to his tweet and said that he is supporting his new franchise the Delhi Capitals.

The Indian Premier League began in the year 2008. In the last 14 years, three teams have gained enormous popularity. They are Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Even Marnus Labuschagne has enjoyed watching them.
“Over the years I’ve always loved watching RCB, CSK & MI,” the Australian batter wrote in one of his previous tweets.
Interestingly though, the first three matches of IPL 2022 are in the history books, and the bottom three teams on the points table are Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. It is still early days in the tournament and fans expect the teams to bounce back stronger.
