The fast bowler injured his ankle during the warmup game against Pakistan in Gabba and was deemed unfit to play. He will now head back home, where he will undergo surgery on his ankle.

In his place, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is all set to draft Tymal Mills in the side. The left-arm pacer, who is among the traveling reserves, is likely to get a nod ahead of Richard Gleeson. Notably, he also was a part of the side during the last World Cup and performed reasonably well.

Mills will be a good addition to the England side considering his experience in the Australian conditions. Also with his ability to bowl at death with long boundaries, he can be a potential threat to any team.
