“It Will Be Hard For CSK To Leave Him Out”- New Zealand Women’s Player Suzie Bates Says Devon Conway Has Cemented His Place In CSK Playing XI

New Zealand women’s team all-rounder Suzie Bates heaped praise on the country’s men’s team player Devon Conway for his excellent performances in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Conway is playing for the Chennai Super Kings in his debut IPL season, and so far in just five matches, he has aggregated 231 runs for the defending champions.

Conway made his IPL debut in the first match of the season against the Kolkata Knight Riders. He could not make much of an impact in that game and was subsequently dropped from the playing XI. The left-handed batter then took a break from the season for his wedding.

Upon returning, he received a place in the Chennai Super Kings playing XI again, and Conway did not lose it this time. The left-handed batter scored a hat-trick of half-centuries. First, he aggregated 85 runs against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, followed by a 56-run knock against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Conway won his maiden IPL Man of the Match award against the Delhi Capitals by scoring 87 runs for his team. Unfortunately, he lost his wicket for a duck in an unlucky fashion in his first ever match against the Mumbai Indians.

Despite Conway’s top-class performances, Chennai Super Kings have been eliminated from the race to the IPL 2022 playoffs. CSK are likely to retain their New Zealand star for the next season.
