The South African, who was the second-highest run-getter in IPL 2021, received a lot of attention at the event. Faf’s former franchise Chennai Super Kings were also in for the cricketer and hence, the bid increased very quickly. Eventually, RCB signed the player at INR 7 Cr.
Considering RCB needed an experienced player to replace AB de Villiers, Faf was a decent fit for the franchise.
