Virat Kohli came into the limelight in 2008 when he guided India to the U-19 World Cup win. He made his IPL debut for Royal challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the same year and then later in 2013 was given the responsibility to leading the side.

Since then he has stayed on with the Bangalore-based franchise and has made himself a name. Since his debut in IPL, Indian batter Virat Kohli didn’t look back as he’s breaking numerous records along the way and is the leading batsman in all three-formats of the game.

It’s fair to say that it’s because of him, the franchise has one of the largest fan base in the world. However, not only his presence has inevitable, but he has been a staggering  run scorer for RCB and is the leading all the charts related to batting.

Kohli has played most matches (223) for RCB and is also the leading run scorer for the team with 6624 runs to his name. Not only this, he has most centuries (5) and half-centuries (44) for the team. The right-hander is also the owner of most boundaries for the team and also has most runs for them in the season when he smashed 973 runs in 2016.
