KL Rahul is the only Indian cricketer who is currently going through a lean patch. It seems that things are not really working out in his favour despite the fact that he has been giving absolutely everything on the field.

The right-handed batsman has come under fire for his series of poor scores in international cricket. Despite his poor form, the Indian team management has backed the under-fire KL Rahul who is figuring out a way to break the hoodoo.

KL Rahul scored 20, 17 and 1 in the first two Tests of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series against the Aussies. He failed to justify his selection so far and it seems that his current spot is under threat.

Just a few days ago, KL Rahul was sacked as the vice-captain of the Test team. The decision comes after the batsman’s dismal form in Test cricket. Apparently, it is Rohit Sharma who will be deciding who will be the vice-captain.

Srikkanth gives a strong message to KL Rahul

Former India’s chief selector, Krishnamchari Srikkanth comes up with important words of advice for the struggling KL Rahul. The former Indian opener added that if he were the chief selector, he would advise KL Rahul to take a break and come back in a crisp manner.

According to the former Indian cricketer, KL Rahul doesn’t have a chink in the technical aspect. He further added that it is the mental aspect that KL Rahul is struggling with.

The Bengaluru-born cricketer has the highest score of only 23 runs that too in his last 10 innings in red-ball cricket, which is really poor considering a player of his calibre.

Meanwhile, skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid have conceded that they will still continue to back KL Rahul in the remaining two Tests despite being sacked from the vice-captaincy post.
