India’s young fast-bowling sensation Umran Malik did impress the fans in the cricket fraternity with his raw pace and still has plenty of catching up to do in terms of line and length.
Tagged as one of the brightest fast-bowling prospects in the new era, the right-arm paceman has donned the Indian outfit in five One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals.
With searing pace in his belt, he was able to tear into the opposition’s batting line-up by taking seven wickets in the 50-over format and let’s also remind ourselves that the 23-year-old is just getting started.
On the other side of the coin, he has bagged as many as two wickets to his name in the shortest format. He has played as many as 17 games in the IPL wherein he has accounted for 24 dismissals.

The right-arm fast bowler has been named in the upcoming three-match T20I series against the Sri Lankan cricket team. Notably, he has been listed in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka as well.

During a recent interview with News24, the 23-year-old was asked about going past Shoaib Akhtar’s fastest ball record and to which, he came up with a perfect answer.
He highlighted that he is concentrating on doing well for the country, He also added that if he does well and if he is fortunate, then he will break the record set by the Rawalpindi Express.
