Pakistani national cricket team led by Babar Azam got off to a disastrous start in the ongoing edition of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup in Australia. The Green Shirts lost the first two games against Team India and Zimbabwe respectively.
The majority of the fans in the cricket fraternity felt that it was the end of the road for Pakistan’s chances in the showpiece event. While almost everyone wrote Pakistan off, the Green Shirts played the tournament without any pressure.
Babar Azam and Co notched up their first win over the Netherlands cricket team. After that, they went on to beat the belligerent Proteas cricket team in the next game to make it two wins on the trot.
Pakistan also executed their plans properly while locking horns with the Bangladesh cricket team in their third game. Babar Azam and Co won that game and qualified for the semi-finals of the showpiece event.

Pakistan also went on to defeat New Zealand in the first semi-final by seven wickets and booked their place in the final. On the other hand, England beat India by 10 wickets and made it to the finals.
Pakistan will take on England in the final on November 13 (Sunday) at the MCG. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar came up with a crazy prediction if Pakistan wins the T20 World Cup 2022.
According to Gavaskar, if Pakistan wins the T20 World Cup, then Babar Azam will be the Prime Minister of Pakistan in 2048. We all know that Pakistan won the ODI World Cup in 1992 by beating England in the final.
Pakistan won the ICC ODI World Cup under the leadership of Imran Khan. Pakistan appointed Imran Khan as the Prime Minister in 2018. He served as the Prime Minister for the country till April 2022.
Sunil Gavaskar said: “If Pakistan do win the World Cup, then in 2018, Babar Azam will be the Prime Minister of Pakistan.”
