Star Indian fast bowler Varun Aaron has made a big decision in his cricketing career. The right-arm pacer has decided to quit his home state Jharkhand cricket team and join the Baroda team for the new domestic season which will start in 2022/23. Aaron has been one of the main players for Jharkhand, which is why it was a very tough call for him to leave the state team.
In case you didn’t know, Aaron has been associated with Jharkhand for the last 18 years. He has played an important role in the success which the Jharkhand team has achieved in domestic cricket. He got the No Objection Certificate from JSCA to leave the state team two weeks ago itself, but he made the announcement on social media two days ago only.
Here’s what Aaron wrote in the caption on the 10-photo carousel post which he shared on his Instagram handle:
“Goodbyes are never easy!! I find it incredibly hard to put down my feelings as I walk away from what’s been a huge part of my life, The Jharkhand Cricket Team. I have decided to part ways and move on to play for Baroda in the upcoming domestic season.”

Will Varun Aaron play for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023?
Earlier this year, Varun Aaron captured the Indian Premier League championship while playing for the Gujarat Titans under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. Gujarat picked Aaron in their starting XI for their first match against the Lucknow Super Giants, but he could not impress much in the initial games.

Also, Aaron had some injury issues, which is why he could not play for the Gujarat Titans consistently. It will be interesting to see if the Titans retain him for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. Given that he is an experienced player, GT may give him one more chance.
