“How Much You Need To Secure His Services?”- Former MI Player Mitchell McClenaghan Wants Mumbai To Look At Star All-rounder For IPL 2023

Former Mumbai Indians fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan has recently asked an interesting question to the fans on Twitter. Mitchell, who played in multiple seasons for Mumbai Indians and also won the trophies with the team, asked whether the franchise should save money for someone like Ben Stokes at next year’s IPL Mini Auction.

Many fans reckon that Stokes is one of the best all-rounders in world cricket right now. The England all-rounder won the Most Valuable Player of the Season award while playing for the Rising Pune Supergiant in his debut season in 2017.

After that tournament, Stokes received a contract from the Rajasthan Royals team at the IPL 2018 Mega Auction. He remained with the Jaipur-based franchise for four years but could not make much of an impact. Soon after, RR released him from their squad.

Ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Stokes decided against putting his name in the auction pool. The all-rounder reportedly wants to focus more on his Test career, which is why he decided to take a break from the Indian Premier League in 2022.

Do Mumbai take a pop at Getting Stokes next year: Mitchell McClenghan asks fans on social media

The Mumbai Indians have not gotten off to a good start in IPL 2022. The five-time champions have lost their first four matches in the new season. In the previous game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, MI played with only two overseas players – Dewald Brevis and Kieron Pollard.

Looking at the performance of the Mumbai Indians team in IPL 2022 thus far, the team’s former player Mitchell McClenaghan wrote on Twitter:
