Australian cricket team made the headlines ahead of the first Test against India after they hired duplicate Ravichandran Ashwin in order to prepare for Ravichandran Ashwin’s challenge for the Nagpur Test.

However, that strategy didn’t work well for them as Ashwin ripped through the defence of Australia’s batting unit in the second innings. Ravi Ashwin went on to take five wickets in the second innings with ease.

Australia completely lost the plot in the second innings as they ended up losing the game by an innings and 132 runs at VCA Stadium in Nagpur. The veteran off-spinner took three wickets in the first innings as well.

Overall, he finished the Nagpur Test match with eight wickets. Australia still have a lot of catching up to do to pose a threat to the Indians in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series.

Furthermore, he echoed that one can’t really prepare to face one of the all-time greats by facing a young first-class player. He further added that he hopes the Australian cricket team are not searching for a Jadeja duplicate for the second Test match.

Meanwhile, Australia are wary of the fact that Team India haven’t lost even a single Test in 36 years in Delhi. It is not going to be an easy challenge for the visitors. They will have to be at their imperious best in order to pose a threat to the Indians.
