India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is currently seeking the appropriate treatment from a private hospital in Mumbai. Earlier, the youngster ran through a career-threatening car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

Apparently, Rishabh Pant accidentally crashed into one of the divider linings after he dozed off for a few seconds which led to a major accident, thus setting his Mercedes ablaze.

Fortunately, he jumped off the burning car and got away with burns or fractures. However, he sustained some injuries on his body and it seems that it will take more time for him to get back on track.

Rishabh Pant ruled out of IPL 2023

Meanwhile, in the latest development, it has been confirmed that Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. It is indeed a massive blow to Delhi Capitals’ title chances in the upcoming season.

Delhi Capitals’ director of cricket, Sourav Ganguly confirmed that the wicketkeeper is ruled out of the IPL 2023 season. Now, the DC franchise are eagerly searching to find an apt replacement for Rishabh Pant.

As per the latest update, the youngster has already undergone surgery at the Kokilaben Ambani hospital in Mumbai in a bid to treat the ligament tear in his knee.

Former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly who addressed the reporters in Kolkata confirmed that Rishabh Pant will not take part in the IPL 2023 season.

He further added that he is in connection with the Delhi Capitals franchise. Ganguly also assured that they will do well in the next season. Last but not least, Ganguly added that Rishabh Pant’s Injury will affect the franchise.

Rishabh Pant has played 98 games in the Indian Premier League wherein he scored 2838 runs at an average of 34.6 including 1 century and 15 half-centuries to his name, at a strike rate of 148.
