Fans on Twitter lashed out at Pakistan Babar Azam as his poor run of form continued in the game against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2022. They slammed him for playing slow and said the right-hander should stick to Test cricket.

Babar Azam’s poor run continued in the game against Bangladesh at the Adelaide Oval. In what is a must-win game for both sides, the Pakistan skipper yet again perished and put his side under tremendous pressure.

After Pakistan reduced Bangladesh to a low total of 127 runs, all they needed was a good start. But this wasn’t the case as both the openers struggled with their timing and played with a low strike rate.

While Rizwan smashed run a ball 32-run knock, Babar looked clueless during his innings of 25 runs. Although, he smashed two fours he failed to time the ball for the most part of his innings and didn’t his team the desired start.

He scored 25 runs in 33 balls and played with a strike rate of just over 75. Babar perished in the 11th over. In what was a poor inning, he looks to unleash himself with a slog-sweep, but Nasum Ahmed bowled a quite full-length ball and all he managed is a thick top edge, which was taken at a backward point.

Babar Azam has been one of the main reasons behind Pakistan’s downfall this tournament as has looked scratchy in the T20 World Cup 2022. In the five innings so far he has just managed 39 runs at a poor average and strike of 7.8 and 61.9 respectively.
