Jhye Richardson is recovering from an injury and his availability is a doubt for IPL 2024. It would be a big blow for Delhi Capitals because even Anrich Nortje is very injury-prone. DC could look at some of their former players to come back to the team. On that note, here, we take a look at three former players Delhi Capitals could target if Jhye Richardson gets ruled out of IPL 2024.

1) Wayne Parnell

Delhi Capitals tried hard for an overseas left-arm pacer in IPL 2024 Auctions. However, they could not sign anyone. Since Parnell also plays for the same owners back in the SA20 League, this signing cannot be ruled out.

He offers value with the new ball, like he did with RCB last season. Parnell also provides experience and adds depth to the batting department. Hence, he could be a wise signing.

2) Nathan Coulter-Nile

Nathan Coulter-Nile is one of the players Delhi Capitals could target if Jhye Richardson gets ruled out of IPL 2024. Yes, it has been a while since he played for Australia or in the IPL.

However, as we all know, Ricky Ponting likes Australian players and Coulter-Nile is one of the experienced options available in the market. He is someone who can bowl in the death and also provides some batting services.

3) James Neesham

Barring Mitchell Marsh, DC does not have a good medium-pace bowling all-rounder. Even Marsh may not bowl much due to his injury-prone nature. In that regard, DC can target a foreign all-rounder, who can also double up as a finisher.

Since he is a left-hander, Neesham could be a good fit. He could compete with Harry Brook and Tristan Stubbs for a role in the lower middle-order. With the ball, on his day, he can easily provide a couple of overs, which could be useful for Rishabh Pant to manage his bowlers.
