‘He Made Things A Lot Simpler For Me’-Sanju Samson Heaps Praise On Deepak Hooda

Sanju Samson, a batter for India, was recalled to the team after having a successful run with Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2022 and serving as the team’s captain. Even though he was unable to land a significant blow, his skills and poise drew a lot of attention. As a result of his living up to not just the expectations of the fans but also those of the squad, India decided to include him in their playing combination for the second Twenty20 International that they played against Ireland on Tuesday.

He was brought into the team to replace Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had suffered an injury, and he and Ishan Kishan were the first two batters to face the ball. Samson ended his innings with a fantastic 77, which featured nine fours and four enormous sixes. Even though he had lost his opening partner early, he built a massive partnership with Deepak Hooda as the two scored 176 runs for the second wicket.

What did Sanju Samson say about Deepak Hooda?

Samson’s tremendous knock paid off for him in the end, as India was able to emerge victorious from the match by the narrowest of margins. Samson spoke up about his innings and his partnership as he was chatting to former India all-rounder Ajay Jadeja on Sony Sports Network after the game. Here is what Samson had to say about it:

“I thought it was a fun game. Because of the partnership we had and the conditions at the time, there was some movement off the wicket, and the bowlers were aiming their deliveries at the appropriate spots. I believe that Hooda made things a lot simpler for me. Right from the beginning, he began throwing punches. We were able to communicate really effectively with one another, and I had no problem simply giving him the strike when he was striking like that. When I first began attending, he immediately followed suit. I am really delighted for Hooda, and I hope that one day, very soon, I will be able to obtain a score as good as that one (century).
