The countdown for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has begun. The cricket carnival is all set to return. The IPL 16th will take begin from 31st March with the final set to take place on 28th May.
All the franchises have kick-started their preparations for the league and it is expected that like all the seasons, it’ll be another enthralling season. Talking about the Kolkata Knight Riders, the two-time champions would be eager to stage a comeback after their dismal outing last season.
The KKR players are toiling hard ahead of the season and are putting in the hard yards in their pre-tournament sessions. They recently had a practice match and it was an opportunity for all the players to fine-tune their skills and check their form.
Rinku Singh, who impressed many with his staggering performance last year, was the top run-scorer as he smashed unbeaten 89 runs from just 37 balls. N Jagadeesan, who has been in staggering domestic form also scored unbeaten 53 runs in 31 balls.
Southpaw Nitish Rana and Mandeep Singh also played handy knocks as they scored 35 runs in 18 balls and 24 runs in 13 balls respectively. Before Anukul Roy played a cameo of 18 runs in 11 balls.
