The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway in Maharashtra right now, where the Gujarat Titans have cemented the top position on the points table with a spectacular performance. Playing their debut season, GT have registered 10 wins in 14 matches to finish number one on the points table. Rashid Khan has been a key player for them.

While the Titans were excellent during most of the matches of their league round, they could not impress much in their final league game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB thrashed the Gujarat Titans by eight wickets to register their eighth win of the season and keep their playoffs hopes alive.

During the match between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore, there was a moment, where GT’s spin bowler Rashid Khan was in a pose like Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah show’s character Jethalal. Here’s how Gujarat Titans reacted to that pose:

“Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events, is purely coincidental.”

Rashid Khan is a different type of bowler and his pace through the air is a lot: Imran Tahir

Former IPL Purple Cap winner Imran Tahir is currently working as a cricket expert for ESPNCricinfo. On a recent appearance on the website’s IPL coverage show, Tahir dissected Rashid Khan’s bowling and said:

“He is a different type of bowler and his pace through the air is a lot. When a leg-spin bowls through the air, he has to make it slow through the air for turn. Rashid is different because he bowls quick through the air.”

Khan has played an integral role in the success of the Gujarat Titans this year. The Ahmedabad-based franchise roped him in for a massive 15 crore ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, and he has done a phenomenal job as the team’s vice-captain. Khan also led the team to a win against the Chennai Super Kings in Hardik Pandya’s absence.
