The third ODI between India and New Zealand ended with no result as the match didn’t see a completion of the 20-over benchmark during New Zealand’s run-chase at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
When the rain played spoilsport in the third ODI, the Indian bowler completed only 18 overs, which was so easy for the match officials to declare it in the form of “no-result”.
Had the Indian bowlers bowled the minimum quota of 20 overs set by the ICC, then the DLS method would come into the picture, which means that New Zealand would have won the third ODI.
However, New Zealand cricket team can take pride in the fact that they have made a good comeback in the ODI series after the T20I series defeat. Kane Williamson and Co won the series by 1-0.
Ravindra Jadeja opens up on Suryakumar Yadav donning a beanie in the third ODI between India and New Zealand
Meanwhile, Ajay Jadeja made the headlines after he had opened up on Suryakumar Yadav donning a beanie during the third ODI between India and New Zealand in Christchurch.

Jadeja highlighted that if the Indian players were spotted wearing a beanie a decade ago, then it would have meant the end of the chapter of the players.
Jadeja feels that the current crop of players is rather fortunate to wear a beanie as there are no strict rules. However, Jadeja is glad that the players are wearing a beanie now.
India’s tour of New Zealand came to an end today. Now, the crew will fly to Bangladesh to play three One-Day Internationals followed by the two-match Test series.
“Luckily for them, they can wear a beanie. Go back 10-15 or 20 years ago, imagine if somebody from the Indian side turned up on the field with a beanie, we would never see that player again. They would say he is disrespecting the cap and things like that. I am glad to see these players wearing it,” he told Prime Video
