The T20 format has by far offered plenty of exciting and entertaining stuff for the fans. The T20I series decider between India and Sri Lanka is certain to have interesting and intriguing things in store for the audiences.
Rahul Dravid said mistakes like wide or no-ball happen since fast bowlers are young
During the second T20I, the young fast bowlers failed to adhere to the basics as they conceded 12 extras, out of which, seven were no-balls whereas four runs came in the form of wides and the other run was a leg bye.
After the game, Indian pacers namely Arshdeep Singh and Shivam Mavi came under fire for their expensive bowling spells. Arshdeep Singh literally had a torrid day at the office as he bowled as many as five no-balls.
Besides that, he conceded 37 runs in just two overs at an economy of 18.50. On the other side of the coin, Shivam Mavi conceded 53 runs at an expensive economy rate of 13.20.
Umran Malik was impressive in the first three overs before he conceded runs in his fourth over. Overall, he conceded 48 runs in four overs and bagged as many as three wickets to his name.
Following India’s defeat against Sri Lanka, Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid backed the pacers by adding that mistakes such as a wide ball or no-ball might happen because they are young. The head coach further added that it is important to show patience and that the young ones are picking up the lessons well.
Glad that the youngsters are getting backed despite poor performances, this will help them improve

Growing up, I used to think people learn well in first class cricket. But these days the Rohit – Rahul duo have made international cricket team into a laboratory.
AdvertisementUnbelievable that an international bowler has to learn not to bowl no-balls at the international level.

We accept that 2-3 noballs can be thrown but it was 5 no balls in just 2overs……it is not acceptable at all… if he was injured then how can he directly starts playing internationals?

This is what is expected from Captains and coaches , to back their players. Not throwing them under the bus and asking them to correct their basics publicly

Mistakes happen only one time.
When it's being done repeatedly, it's a crime— NavdeepSGusain (@NavdeepSGusain1) January 6, 2023

We should keep learning every day, no doubt but even a local club bowler don't bowled 5 no balls in 2 overs. Issue must be something else. He was tensed or his mind was somewhere else. God knows.

They are not new to intl cricket. When you play for your country ahead of others means basics have to be perfect. 34 runs from no balls that cost the match.
