India’s young southpaw Ishan Kishan impressed the selectors with his ultra-aggressive approach in the third and final ODI against the Bangladesh national cricket team in Chattogram which ended very recently.
The youngster brought the best out of himself in the dead rubber wherein he gave absolutely everything when he was at the crease. He looked extremely dangerous more often than not and was a threat to the opposition.
After when he scored a half-century, he switched gears and took his batting to the next level in intensity. He went on to a quickfire century and then went about his business to score his maiden ODI double-century.
In the process, he became the fourth Indian after the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Rohit Sharma to score a double century in One Day Internationals.
Ishan Kishan likely to receive his maiden central contract
The southpaw ended up scoring 210 off 131 balls with the help of 24 fours and 10 sixes for Team India at a strike rate of 160.31 and drew plaudits for his batting masterclass in the third ODI.
He was also named the man of the match for his performance and meanwhile, the BCCI is planning to hand Ishan Kishan a maiden central contract as reported by PTI.
Ishan Kishan has proved his worth whenever he has got a chance to play for the team. The two-format player has featured in 10 ODIs and 21 T20Is for the Indian national cricket team.
He scored 477 runs in One Day Internationals including one century, one double century and three half-centuries at a sensational batting average of 53. On the other hand, he has aggregated 589 runs in Twenty20 Internationals at an average of 29.45 including 4 half-centuries.
Ishan Kishan registered his personal best score of 210 in ODIs and 89 runs in T20Is and is seen as a future replacement for Shikhar Dhawan in limited-overs cricket.

That 210 did this guy a world of good.
But I am afraid, he still struggles a lot against the swinging ball, life won't be all sun and hay like that match vs Bangladesh on a flat wicket. https://t.co/MKopV6U0pH— A R N A V🏏 (@Cricket_Arnav) December 12, 2022

Kishan is damn player no doubt man but because one match we shouldn't hype this much like he replace dhawan in the playing XI and before the 3rd odi kishan has scored just 200 runs in 6 innings. Now you can't expect him to scored in 200 every innings!!
