Sunrisers Hyderabad are crossing swords with Mumbai Indians in the 25th game of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is being held at Rajiv Gandhi international stadium in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram won the toss and opted to bowl first. The five-time IPL champions led by Rohit Sharma got off to a splendid start to the game before he threw his wicket away.
He scored 28 off 18 balls where he smacked six fours to his credit. Mumbai Indians’ big-money signing, Cameron Green brought the best out of himself in the ongoing game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Cameron Green shines for Mumbai Indians
The young all-rounder who is considered the next big thing in Australian cricket, made his presence count on the pitch. He assessed the conditions quite perfectly and made use of the conditions to better effect.
In the process, the youngster went on to notch up his maiden IPL fifty. He brought up his landmark in 33 deliveries and it was an innings that would be so special to him since it is his first fifty in India’s premier T20 competition.
Coming out to bat at No.3, Cameron Green shouldered the responsibility and lived up to his reputation. He defied the odds and scored runs whenever it mattered the most for the team.
As it turned out, he was the pick of the batters for the Mumbai Indians. In the end, Cameron Green scored 64* off 40 balls where he constructed his innings with the help of six boundaries and two hits over the fence at a strike rate of 160. Mumbai Indians posted 192/5 in 20 overs.
