The 3-match T20I series between the Indian cricket team and the Sri Lankan cricket team culminated yesterday evening with a match at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. For the first time in a long time, fans witnessed the Indian cricket team playing back-to-back matches on consecutive days at home.
The second T20I happened on Saturday evening, while the third game took place last night. The Indian cricket team won both matches by chasing the targets set by the Sri Lankan cricket team. Shreyas Iyer was the hero with the bat for the Indian team, whereas Dasun Shanaka stole the show in the batting unit of the islanders.
Speaking of the bowling department now, the conditions were fantastic for the fast bowlers, and they made full use of it in the initial phase of the third T20I. Mohammed Siraj and Avesh Khan opened the bowling for the Indian team and they reduced the Sri Lankan side to 11/3 in four overs.
Reacting to the fast-bowling performance from the Indian pacers, Harsha Bhogle wrote on Twitter: “Got to love this track. Lots of pace here and Siraj and Avesh have bowled beautifully. No pace off so far, fast bowlers bowling fast.”

Mohammed Siraj and Avesh Khan took a total of 3 wickets in the 3rd T20I at HPCA Stadium of Dharamsala
As mentioned ahead, the pitch and conditions for fast bowler were excellent in Dharamsala. Mohammed Siraj kicked off the proceedings in style by conceding just one run and picking up one wicket in the first six deliveries. He rattled the stumps of Danushka Gunathilaka in the very first over.
Avesh Khan came in to bowl next and he dismissed the duo of Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka in his first two overs. After four overs, Sri Lanka were down to 11/3, but they still managed to cross 140 because of Shanaka’s fifty.
