England women’s team cricketer Kate Cross has often tweeted about her love for the Chennai Super Kings IPL team from her official Twitter handle. She has even received a special jersey from the Chennai Super Kings as she is a huge fan of the Chennai-based franchise.
Many Chennai Super Kings fans follow her on social media. It is the Tamil New Year today and Cross decided to post a special tweet for her Tamil fans. Here’s what she wrote in Tamil from her official Twitter handle today:
“அனைவருக்கும் இனிய தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள்,” (with a yellow heart) “Happy Tamil New Year to all,” (Rough Translation).

The yellow heart was for the Chennai Super Kings fans because CSK play in the yellow jersey. This year has not been the best one for the Chennai Super Kings as they have won only one of their five games in IPL 2022 so far.
Playing under the captaincy of Ravindra Jadeja for the first time ever, the Chennai Super Kings started off with four losses in four matches. They first lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders and then suffered defeats at the hands of Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants. Finally, they snapped their losing streak with a 23-run victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Shivam Dube was the best cricketer for the Chennai Super Kings in their last match
It is the aim of every cricketer to be the best performer for his franchise, and in the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Shivam Dube stole the show with an excellent 95-run inning. He was adjudged the Player of the Match for his stupendous innings.
Dube will be keen to continue in the same vein when the Chennai Super Kings play their next match against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday evening in IPL 2022.
