‘Men in Blue on the other hand made three changes and drafted Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, and Ravi Bishnoi on the side, replacing Ravindra Jadeja, Dinesh Karthik, and Avesh Khan respectively.

However, one change that surprised many was Karthik. The keeper batter was given nod ahead of Rishabh Pant in the first game against Pakistan and was also in the playing XI when India locked horns against Hong Kong.

Karthik has been in a staggering form of late and has provided his team with crucial finishes in almost every match since his comeback. But it’s fair to say that the keeper batter was dropped because of Jadeja’s injury. Jadeja’s injury hampered India’s balance and they had no choice other than playing Rishabh Pant and dropping Karthik.

Twitterati is unhappy with the Indian team dropping Dinesh Karthik.

As Karthik was dropped from the playing XI, fans on Twitter were unhappy with the team’s decision. They feel that the senior batter should’ve held his place in the side and it’ll be now difficult for him to find his spot back.
