Meanwhile, the talented prospect is currently the Purple Cap holder in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Having played all six games for RCB this season, he has accounted for 12 dismissals, which is quite a great achievement.
For the record, in IPL 2020, he stole the spotlight for his impressive performances against Kolkata Knight Riders where he registered 3/8 and it was at that time, several fans predicted that Siraj would go on to become one of the top pacers.
Meanwhile, Siraj expressed his delight to get a Purple Cap and also recalled a nice anecdote from his journey at SRH. He said when Bhuvneshwar Kumar clinched the purple cap in the 2016 IPL, he went on his behalf to collect the Purple Cap.
He further added that he also had a dream that he should also win a Purple Cap. Adding further, he said it was a very nice feeling to hold the Purple Cap currently.
