Ravindra Jadeja captained the Chennai Super Kings in the first half of IPL 2022. Before the mega auction, the franchise retained him as their number one player and paid a massive salary of 16 crore to him. Fans saw Jadeja as the next face of the team, but as IPL 2022 progressed, things went downhill.

First, Jadeja had a disastrous start to his career as the Chennai Super Kings captain. For the first time in IPL history, CSK started their season with four consecutive losses. At the same time, there was a decline in Jadeja’s contribution as an individual.

Most members of the cricket universe consider Jadeja as one of the best fielders of cricket history. However, in IPL 2022, he dropped some simple-looking catches. After handing back the captaincy to MS Dhoni, Jadeja got injured and exited the bio-bubble of the Chennai Super Kings team.

As per reports, Jadeja took a break from social media and tried to regain his focus on cricket. He returned to the field in style by scoring a century against England in a Test at Edgbaston. Jadeja also clarified that IPL 2022 is behind him and what happened, happened.

While everyone was happy to see Jadeja perform well for the Indian team, the eagle-eyed fans also noticed that he removed all posts related to IPL 2021 and 2022 seasons of Chennai Super Kings from his Instagram account.

CSK officials clarified there was no rift between Jadeja and the franchise, but the recent social media activity of the Chennai-based team has sparked the rumors again.
