Former India skipper Virat Kohli is currently taking part in his 100th Test match against Sri Lanka at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. The now 33-year-old made his debut back in 2011 and it took around three years for him to adjust to the purest format. Back in the 2014 tour of England, Kohli had a tough time, but from there on, he has turned his career around in a dramatic manner.

Later in 2014, he took over as the Indian Test skipper after MS Dhoni retired from Test cricket following the Melbourne Test against Australia. In 2019, Kohli surpassed the now 40-year-old Dhoni to become India’s most successful captain in Test cricket. However, the last five months have been tumultuous for the Delhi-born cricketer as he relinquished captaincy in all three formats.

Back in January, Virat stepped down as the Test skipper after India lost 1-2 in the three-match Test series in South Africa. Ahead of the Sri Lanka Tests, vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah also talked about making the Mohali Test a memorable one for Kohli.

Earlier, it was learned that the Mohali Test will be played behind the closed doors. But later, the authorities allowed 50 percent crowd at the venue. A total of 12,500 people has been allowed to watch the game. The tickets for the games were released a couple of days ago for the general people. And to everyone’s surprise, the tickets didn’t take much time in getting sold out.
