Chennai Super Kings are locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 24th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The iconic Southern Derby is taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Talking about the game, RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited Chennai Super Kings to bat first. The yellow army didn’t start well as they could score only 3 runs in the first over.

Even as Rurutaj Gaikwad was dismissed for a cheap score, Devon Conway helped the team provide the much-needed spark in the batting attack. CSK went about their business, courtesy of Conway’s batting masterclass.

CSK opener, Devon Conway played one of the finest knocks of his IPL career as he smashed 83 off 45 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing fixture.

The southpaw brought up his fifty off 32 balls and then kept going to bolster CSK’s batting unit. He ended up scoring 83 off 45 balls before being dismissed by Harshal Patel in the fourth ball of the 16th over.

Harshal Patel bowled a slow yorker to Conway and the latter misjudged it completely before getting bowled in the first place. Conway departed after playing one of the top-tier innings.

He composed his innings with the help of six fours and six hits over the fence at a strike rate of 184.44. Notably, this is Conway’s second fifty against RCB and his fifth IPL fifty overall.

At the time of writing this piece, CSK posted 172/3 in 16 overs. Earlier Ajinkya Rahane supported Conway pretty well by smacking 37 off 20 balls including three fours and two hits over the fence.
