Team India are locking horns with the New Zealand cricket team in the first of the three-match T20I series. The T20I opener is currently being held at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.

Indian T20I captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and invited the New Zealand cricket team to bat first. Mitchell Santner is leading the team from the front for the three-match T20I series.

Earlier, in the month of November, Indian players travelled to New Zealand to play the T20I and the ODI series. Hardik Pandya and Co won the T20I series by 1-0 whereas New Zealand won the ODI series by 1-0.

Currently, New Zealand’s tour of India has shifted to the T20I series. Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Co won the ODI series by 3-0 and became the number one team in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings.

Washington Sundar takes a blinder to dismiss Mark Chapman

During the first T20I between India and New Zealand, Washington Sundar provided a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Finn Allen in the second ball of the fifth over.

Finn Allen scored 35 off 23 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 hits over the fence before he was outsmarted by Washington Sundar. Washington Sundar provided another breakthrough by getting rid of Mark Chapman in the last ball of the fifth over.

In what was a sensational fielding effort, Washington Sundar put in a full-blooded dive to dismiss Mark Chapman in the best scene. Netizens applauded Sundar’s breathtaking effort as Chapman was caught and bowled by the former.
