The Tigers who played their first bilateral T20I series against the England cricket team made a bold statement in all three games. The spirited Bangladesh cricket team completed a stunning clean sweep over England.

Bangladesh inflict a 3-0 whitewash on England in the T20I series

Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh T20I captain couldn’t be any happier upon seeing his team inflicting a 3-0 whitewash on the World Champions, England in the T20I series.

Bangladesh opened their account by beating England by six wickets at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. The hosts followed it up with another win in the second game to win the T20I series.

Bangladesh won the second T20I by four wickets at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. The majority of the fans in the cricket fraternity expected England to turn up in the dead rubber.

However, the Three Lions surrendered at the hands of the Tigers in Dhaka. The hosts won the game by 16 runs at the same venue and stunned the England cricket team that ran short of tricks and ideas.

Batting first, the Bangladesh cricket team scored 158/2 in their quota of 20 overs. Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das top-scored with 73 off 57 balls including 10 boundaries and a six.

England cricket team ended up scoring 142/6 in 20 overs and they fell short of the target. Dawid Malan was the pick of the batters for England as he scored 53 off 47 balls including six fours and 2 sixes but he ended up on the losing side.
