BCCI Angry With Ravindra Jadeja Because Of The Way He Got Injured

Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of ICC T20 World Cup 2022 due to an injury. Fans were surprised to know about the injury because Jadeja is one of the fittest players in the squad. Also, he had taken a lengthy injury break from cricket after leaving the Chennai Super Kings midway during IPL 2022.

Jadeja returned to the field during India’s tour of England. He was in fine form. Just before the West Indies tour, where he was supposed to be the vice-captain of India for the ODI series, Jadeja suffered another injury, but he recovered quickly and was available for the subsequent T20I series.

BCCI rested Jadeja for the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series against the Zimbabwean cricket team. He was back in the team for the Asia Cup and played a match-winning knock against Pakistan in the first game. However, Jadeja picked up an injury after the group stage and did not play any matches in the Super Fours round.

A photo of Jadeja after he had a surgery surfaced on social media as fans believed that he might have suffered the injury while training for the Super Fours. But that is not the case.

Here is how Ravindra Jadeja got injured just before ICC T20 World Cup 2022

Fans would have watched a video of Team India having fun in Dubai during the brief break between group stage and Super Fours. It was at that time that Jadeja got injured while doing an adventure activity.

“He had to balance himself on some kind of a ski-board as part of an adventure activity – not part of the training manual at all. It was absolutely unnecessary. He slipped and twisted his knee badly, which led to a surgery,” a BCCI source informed the Times of India today.

Due to the way in which he got injured just before the T20 World Cup, BCCI officials are reportedly fuming.
