Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa‘s white-ball side, continued to struggle with the bat when he was out for a low score on Thursday, October 27, during South Africa’s Twenty20 World Cup 2022 match against Bangladesh.

Taskin Ahmed took six deliveries before he was able to get rid of the right-handed batter in the first over. The batter had scored two runs. Bavuma was unsuccessful in his attempt to poke at an outside-off delivery and instead nudged the ball in the direction of the keeper.

The player, who is 32 years old and plays Twenty20 cricket, has come under scrutiny due to his dismal batting history. After yet another dismal performance, a lot of supporters resorted to social media to express their belief that the player’s time with the squad may be coming to an end.

In his most recent Twenty20 International appearances, Bavuma has, notably, been unable to make any contributions of note with the bat. Earlier on in the year, an auction for the CSA T20 League was held, and he did not get a single offer for his services.

At the Sydney Cricket Ground, Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided for his team to bat first while competing against Bangladesh. Because they lost their captain in the very first over of their innings, the Proteas did not get off to the best possible start.

However, veteran batters Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw went on to score fast runs in the subsequent overs, which helped their team build some much-needed momentum.
