Andre Fletcher Picks His All Time XI; Leaves Out Sachin And Ponting

As cricketers all around the globe are coming out with their all-time XI of various franchise leagues and the three disciplines of the sport, West Indian wicket-keeper, Andre Fletcher in a conversation with Cricketnmore made a jumbo of all formats and gave out a team that was filled with surprises.

On a surprise note, two of the best batters of the world, Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting were not a part of the team. Only three Indian cricketers made the cut for Fletcher’s all-time XI.

Andre Fletcher kept a lot of surprises for his all-time XI

The two openers for his team were Universe Boss, Chris Gayle and India’s Rohit Sharma. Fletcher chose Virat Kohli for number three while South African hard-hitter, AB de Villiers and at number five he chose Ben Stokes.

Fletcher chose the current West Indian skipper for the T20 World Cup, Kieron Pollard, for the number six position, while MS Dhoni was to take the seventh position. It was the two-time World Cup-winning captain, Dhoni, who was assigned the captaincy of the team.

Fletcher used Narine and Rashid Khan as the two spinners in his team who were to occupy the number eight and nine-spot, while the last two positions were resumed for yorker-specialists, Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga.

Fletcher’s upcoming assignments

Andre Fletcher was a part of the St. Lucia Kings in the recently concluded CPL T20. He played a few impeccable knocks in the tournament that saw him blasting knocks of 81*, 23, 30 and 31. He will also be a part of the West Indian squad for the imminent T20 World Cup.

The reigning champions will be starting their tournament against England on 23rd October in Dubai. Given the team that they will be travelling with, it is also said that West Indies will be one of the biggest contenders for the title.
