India’s flamboyant cricketer Suryakumar Yadav has been the best batsman in the shortest format of the game ever since he made his T20I debut for the national cricket team.
It is also worth mentioning here that he has bagged more man of the match awards, more than any other player ever since he made his T20I debut for Team India. This goes to show Suryakumar Yadav’s incredible potential as a batsman.
His style of play is quite often compared to that of AB de Villiers because of his ability to play a wide range of shots all around the park in the form of 360 degrees. However, Surya himself said that there is only one 360 degree player and he is none other than AB de Villiers.
Suryakumar Yadav was last seen in cricketing action in the recently-concluded T20I series against the New Zealand cricket team. He was named the man of the series for his terrific century against the Black Caps in the second T20I at Bay Oval.
Ishan Kishan makes a massive revelation on Suryakumar Yadav
Meanwhile, India’s young opening batsman Ishan Kishan made a huge revelation on star batsman Suryakumar Yadav. The young southpaw added that Suryakumar Yadav literally makes the batting look so easy.
He further added that all the players in the Indian team want to play like him. Surya scored an unbeaten 111 off 51 balls where he struck a flurry of 11 boundaries and 7 hits over the fence, at a staggering strike-rate of 217.65.
His innings helped India post 191/6 in 20 overs. Indian bowlers did the job pretty well as they restricted New Zealand to 126 (all out) as India won the game by 65 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
The series decider turned out to be a tough contest as both teams put up a great fight. However, the rain gods had other ideas as it disrupted the game. However, India’s score was level with par score and which is why the game ended in a tie. Hardik Pandya and Co won the series by 1-0.
Ishan Kishan said, "Suryakumar Yadav makes batting look so easy. All of us in the Indian team want to bat like him".
