India’s young cricketer Prithvi Shaw is currently out of the national reckoning. Not long ago, he took to his social media handle and posted an emotional message for not getting selected for futuristic tours.
Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squads for New Zealand and Bangladesh tours respectively. Unfortunately, Prithvi Shaw didn’t make the cut in any of the squads.
As a result, the youngster was literally heartbroken. However, the right-handed batter played a fearless brand of cricket in the domestic arena wherein he aggregated 355 runs in six matches in Ranji Trophy.
On the other hand, he scored 285 runs in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournaments at an average of 47.5 but was not selected for the upcoming international assignments (against New Zealand and Bangladesh).
Meanwhile, during the ongoing season of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022, he let his bat do the talking against Mizoram in Round 5, Elite Group E at Metallurgical and Engineering Consultant Ltd Sail Stadium, Ranchi.
