In the latest development, England international and Rajasthan Royals’ opening batter, Jos Buttler is set to miss one week of cricketing action owing to a finger injury.

During the game, Jos Buttler made a bold attempt by taking a catch to get rid of Punjab Kings’ batsman, Shahrukh Khan. As it turned out, he did take the catch but at the expense of getting hurt in the follow-through.

As a result, he walked off the field and sought quick medical attention where he was seen getting stitches on his finger. This is precisely the reason why the RR team management decided to promote Ravichandran Ashwin as an opener.

Earlier, speculations and reports were rife that Jos Buttler is expected to miss the team’s upcoming game against Delhi Capitals since the England international got multiple stitches on the little finger of his left hand.

However, now, it has been reported that Buttler will be missing one week of cricketing action, as reported by Sports Tak. With Buttler out of action, the RR team management might experiment with Joe Root in the IPL 2023.
