Rishabh Pant ran through a career-threatening accident on December 30 while he was travelling all the way from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee in Uttarakhand. The accident happened early morning and apparently, Pant dozed off for a few seconds before he rammed into one of the divider linings.

He was admitted to a nearby local hospital for quick medication as the surgeons offered the much-needed medical assistance for a few days before he was air-lifted to a private hospital in Mumbai.

Rishabh Pant underwent surgery and now he is in the recovery phase. The faster he recovers, the better is to have him back in the mix. The southpaw has been in scintillating form in Test cricket for a long time now.

Moreover, he has enjoyed playing the red ball format compared to the other two formats in international cricket. It remains to be seen when Pant will be back in action to play for India.
