
Shubman Gill etched his name into the record books after he became the youngest player to score an ODI double-century. Recently, India’s young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan became the fastest batter to score an ODI double century.
The 24-year-old smacked the double century off just 126 balls and scripted history. Ishan Kishan accomplished the feat while playing against the Bangladesh cricket team in the third ODI in Chattogram.

Shubman Gill registered his personal best score of 208 off 149 balls where he paced his innings with the help of 19 boundaries and 9 sixes to his name at a strike rate of 139.60.

Meanwhile, the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli spoke highly of Shubman Gill after the latter’s performance in the first ODI against the Kiwis. He said it was indeed a privilege to see Shubman Gill bat.
He further added that Gill was outstanding and said that the second-best score in the team is not even 40. Virat Kohli said Shubman Gill proved again why fans rate him highly.
Shubman Gill’s candid knock helped Team India post 349/8 in their quota of 50 overs. In response, New Zealand batters put up a great fight in the run-chase with the help of Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner.
The duo constructed 166 off 111 balls for the seventh wicket before Mohammed Siraj dismissed Santner for 57 off 45. Bracewell scored 140 off 78 balls (12 fours, 10 sixes). India won the game by 12 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.
