Former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara has reserved the highest respect for India’s star all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, for possessing a good cricketing brain as a captain.
Hardik Pandya picked up leadership lessons from the likes of Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in his cricketing career so far. The all-rounder implemented his tactics in the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League.
Notably, Gujarat Titans who made their debut in the last season of the IPL went on to brave the challenges and touched the pinnacle of success. Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans scripted history by beating Rajasthan Royals in the final and clinched the title in their debut season.

Impressed by Hardik Pandya’s captaincy skills so far, the Indian team management decided that he is the best man to lead the team in the shortest format of the game.
Notably, the experimentation did do a world of good for India so far as the Men in Blue are yet to lose a game under the attitude captaincy of Hardik Pandya in the truncated version of the game.
Having played five T20Is as captain, Hardik Pandya steered India to four wins and one draw. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s batting great Kumar Sangakkara has reserved the highest respect for Hardik Pandya while speaking to the news agency PTI.
The former Sri Lankan cricketer echoed that Hardik Pandya has all the tools and ingredients to be a leader. Sangakkara rated Hardik Pandya’s leadership as “excellent” as he cited Hardik Pandya’s performance at Gujarat Titans in the last season of the IPL.
Sangakkara also added that Hardik Pandya needs to carry on with the same momentum as a captain at the national level. Hardik Pandya will be leading the Indian cricket team for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka and the first game is slated to be played on January 3 at Wankhede Stadium.
