India’s veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been making waves in Test cricket for several years now. Regarded as one of the best bowling all-rounders in Test cricket, Ravi Ashwin achieved remarkable feats during the Test series against Bangladesh.

He achieved the landmark of scoring 3000 runs in the longest format during the first innings of the second Test match in Dhaka. Overall, he has bagged as many as 449 wickets in red-ball cricket, which is an exceptional achievement.

The experienced campaigner is just a wicket away from 450 wickets and he is certain to achieve the feat during the first Test match against the Australian cricket team on February 9 in Nagpur.

During the second Test, when India were reeling at 44/4 in the run-chase of 144, they still had a lot of catching up to do after losing Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli for cheap scores.

India lost Rishabh Pant, Jaydev Unadkat and Axar Patel on Day 4 as they were struggling at 74/7. However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer added a match-winning 71-run partnership for the eighth wicket and helped India seal a thrilling win.

India won the game by three wickets and then inflicted a 2-0 whitewash on Shakib Al Hasan and Co. Meanwhile, Ravi Ashwin, on his official YouTube channel revealed the conversation he had with Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan at the pool on the eve of Day 4.

Ravi Ashwin said he had a convo with the Bangladesh players at the pool and he compared this scenario to that of “Kundavai and her gang” in Mani Ratnam’s directorial “Ponniyan Selvan” as Litton and Mehidy were swimming casually.

Ashwin thought the duo would tease him in the Bengali language which he doesn’t understand but they were being nice to him in the first place. The duo said Ashwin’s wicket will be very crucial.

While Ashwin congratulated them on their famous Test victory on the eve of Day 4, the duo replied that it won’t be easy for them because Indian players bat deep.
