Australia’s Test specialist Marnus Labuschagne has made it a habit of scoring runs on a consistent basis in the purest format of the game. The right-handed batter has by far relished batting in red-ball cricket.
Moreover, he has been statistically very impressive in numbers as far as red-ball cricket is concerned. Currently, he is playing the two-match Test series against the West Indies national cricket team.
The right-handed batsman was one of the star performers for the hosts in the opening Test match against the Caribbeans at Perth Cricket Stadium in Perth. As a result, he was adjudged the man of the match.
Marnus Labuschagne made his presence count in both innings of the first Test. In the first innings, he scored 204 runs off 350 balls where he composed his innings with the help of 20 boundaries and a six.

Australia’s No.3 Test batsman drew plaudits for his exceptional performances in the first innings. He also followed it up with another terrific batting performance in the second innings of the Perth Test.
The right-handed batsman chipped in with an unbeaten 104 off 110 balls where he struck as many as 13 fours and two sixes to his name. In the wake of his stellar performance, he gained points in the Test rankings.
As a result, Marnus Labuschagne became the new No.1 ranked Test batsman. The star cricketer will be looking forward to cashing in on chances to good effect even in the second Test against the West Indies cricket team.
The second Test between Australia and West Indies will be held on December 8, Thursday at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide. The hosts will enter the game as the favourites and are likely to win the series by 2-0.
