1) Priyansh Arya
Priyansh was a revelation in IPL 2025. It was just his first season. Yet, he was confident and was one of the best batters in the campaign. He even scored a century in his debut season. RCB wanted him badly. He would have been the ideal No.3 for the side had they picked him. Nevertheless, RCB got Devdutt Padikkal, who did the role well.
2) RCB made a bid for Karun Nair in the IPL 2025 Auctions
Karun was also a target for RCB. However, they did not maintain their interest for a long time. He was a choice to be a backup for the batters. Considering the run he had at the domestic level after the auctions, RCB could have started with him at No.3. Karun had a great start to IPL 2025. He did go through a slump but finished well.
