Unfortunately, RCB has become infamous for allowing talented players to leave the franchise and them doing well in the tournament for other teams. However, that happens in the competition. That said, even with respect to coaches, RCB was once the place for some of the talented names. Here, we take a look at the list of three successful coaches whose coaching career started at RCB.

1) Ashish Nehra

After retirement, Ashish Nehra became the bowling coach of RCB. It was here that he got his first taste of coaching experience. However, it did not end well.

At Gujarat Titans, though, Ashish has been excellent. He won the trophy in IPL 2022 and reached the finals in IPL 2023. With both Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami not there, IPL 2024 was always going to be tough for Ashish Nehra and hence, GT did not qualify for the playoffs.

2) Daniel Vettori

After retirement, Vettori became the Head Coach of RCB. He had a stunning start with the team doing well in the initial seasons, especially in 2016.

However, after that, Vettori just could not do well. He did not do well with retention and RCB hit the rock bottom for a few seasons. Cut to a few years later, Vettori was sensational with SRH in IPL 2024. He is now set to continue his stint with the franchise.

3) Bharat Arun

Bharat Arun is one of the successful coaches whose coaching career started at RCB. Even before his stint with RCB, Bharat Arun was a coach at various academies for states like Hyderabad. However, it was at RCB that he truly got the recognition and took the next step.

Currently, he is one of the best bowling coaches in the country. For India, he did well and helped the team have a solid pace attack across formats. In the IPL, for KKR, Bharat has been doing well in grooming fantastic candidates for both the franchise and the country.
