Having a potent spin attack is a key weapon for most of the teams. However, some teams have not been able to construct a strong spin attack for IPL 2024. Yes, it all depends on how the players perform on the field but on paper, these teams could have an issue. On that note, here, we take a look at three teams with the weakest spin attack for IPL 2024.

1) Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB released Wanindu Hasaranga and traded Shahbaz Ahmed before the IPL 2024 Auctions. These two were a part of the spin attack in the recent seasons. While they got Mayank Dagar through a trade, they did not sign any frontline spinner in the auctions.

Karn Sharma will be the lead spinner while Himanshu Sharma is the other leg-spin option. Glenn Maxwell must add a lot of value with the ball while Swapnil Singh is the all-round choice that RCB. Overall, there is no international-level expertise and this is a problem.

2) Mumbai Indians

MI had the opportunity to sign a foreign spinner and make him a part of the playing XI. However, they decided against it. They signed Shreyas Gopal in IPL 2024 Auctions and he is likely to be the backup for Piyush Chawla.

MI will hope that Piyush does how he did last season. Kumar Kartikeya must step up, as well. It needs to be seen if Mumbai will unleash any of the unknown talents in IPL 2024.

3) Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings is one of the teams with the weakest spin attack for IPL 2024. They have a decent spin attack comprising Rahul Chahar and Harpreet Brar. However, compared to the other teams, this is not very strong.

Both Rahul and Harpreet could leak runs at times. Moreover, both have not had a defining domestic season. Hence, this could be a problem for PBKS.
