Jos Buttler has been in the form of his life in IPL 2022, totally changing the dynamics of the tournament as he hammered his fourth century in his last eight IPL matches. Watching him bat has felt like poetry in motion as the boundaries have reigned supreme.

In Rajasthan’s latest clash against the Delhi Capitals, Buttler hammered his third century of the season that saw him smashing the bowlers into all corners of the park. Experts believe that Kohli’s record of 5 centuries in a single IPL season is definitely at stake at the rate, the Royals have been rampaging over the opposition.

This is what Jos Buttler did to the Delhi Capitals

His first in 2022 came against an ailing Mumbai Indians where the bowlers were seen scrambling for cover against the mighty English biffer. He followed it up with a solid 70* and a fine half-century against the Titans before he whipped another 103 against the struggling Kolkata Knight Riders.

As the Capitals came knocking, it was their turn to be peppered to the ropes and beyond as he started picking on the bowlers right from the word go. This probably is the finest patch of Buttler’s cricketing life where he has been totally unstoppable. He stitched together an imperious knock against the Delhi Capitals that saw him amass 116 runs from just 65 balls.

He could have easily added to that tally, had it not been for a fine take by David Warner at long-on off Mustafizur’s bowling. Out of the 65 balls that he played, he whacked 9 fours and 9 sixes, gathering 90 runs from only boundaries. He was perfectly complemented by Devdutt Padikkal at the other end.

Twitter simply couldn’t keep calm seeing Buttler hammering the bowlers black and blue. It was a sheer delight for the cricketing fans to witness the English striker come up in his most intimidating avatar.
